GOD kNoWs wHaT hE's aBoUt

I have the habit of writing really long entries. However, i only have something short to share this time around, a prose actually..who's author is an unknown Christian..hope it speaks to all my brother's and sister's in Christ who are reading this....here it goes, a real piece of art...i'd like to entitle it...

GOD Knows What He's About

when God wants to drill a man, and to thrill a man, and to skill a man
when God wants to mould a man, to play the noblest part, when He yearns with all
His heart to create so great and bold a man,
that all the world might be amazed, watch His methods, watch His ways
how He ruthlessly perfects, whom He royally elects
how He hammers and hurts him with mighty blows,
converts him into trial shapes of clay, that only God understands
while His tortured heart is crying, and He lifts beseeching hands
how He bends but never breaks, when his good He undertakes
how He uses whom He chooses, and with mighty acts induces him to to
try his spendour out
God knows what he's about

i shall leave it at there for the moment, without any comments... it is my prayer that it spoke to you as much, if not more than it did to me... surely God knows what we are all about, because He's our Maker and our Creator....

verse for the day;

I will put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts
I will be their God, and they will be my people
No longer will a man teach his neighbour, or a man his brother, saying, "Know the Lord"
Because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more

ThE ArTeSiAn WeLL

Its been at least 3 weeks since i posted something meaningful on my blogsight, but i felt that after coming back from penang last Saturday after attending a camp, i can no longer contain it within me but to literally share it with the whole world! Christ, Compass For Life was chosen as the camp's theme. Planned and tailor made by a group of committees from Burmah Road Gospel Hall, Penang, this camp really sets the benchmark in terms of excellence and excitement. This group of committees are fiery pictures of commitment, zeal, enthusiasm, focus, and also Christlike in their dealings with issues besetting the planning and all other potential hindrances. They were a distinct picture of dedication, wholehearted service, sacrifice, and not to mention a team that was overflowing with creativity. From the camp commy, all the way down to the helpers, one thing was distinct above all; their love for the Lord....and this was obviously the main binding and bonding factor between all the committees, each one of them playing an important role. One could not do without the other.

Tireless labour, meetings during rest hours, minimal sleep throughout, thorough attention given from the most minute detail to the macro details. All these were just a reflection of what was happening behind the scenes. Behind the hearts of these men and women were that of hearts that were on fire for God, a passion for souls, minds that were convinced that 'in all that we do, we do it all for the glory of God'. Behind the business and hassle of keeping the campers in check, and making sure that the programmes are on track, are what you call personal, unseen lives akin to that of the 'artesian well'.

I'm not sure whether for those of you who are reading this would actually understand what i'm talking about. However, artesian wells are deep drilled wells through which water is forced upward under pressure. The water in an artesian well flows from an aquifer, which is a layer of very porous rock or sediment, usually sandstone, capable of holding and transmitting large quantities of water. The geologic conditions necessary for an artesian well are an inclined aquifer sandwiched between impervious rock layers above and below that trap water in it. Water enters the exposed edge of the aquifer at a high elevation and percolates downward through interconnected pore spaces. The water held in these spaces is under pressure because of the weight of water in the portion of the aquifer above it. If a well is drilled from the land surface through the overlying impervious layer into the aquifer, this pressure will cause the water to rise in the well. In areas where the slope of the aquifer is great enough, pressure will drive the water above ground level in a spectacular, permanent fountain. Artesian springs can occur in similar fashion where faults or cracks in the overlying impervious layer allow water to flow upward. Water from an artesian well or spring is usually cold and free of organic contaminants, making it desirable for drinking. 'In other words, their unseen, hidden side of their spiritual lives are very much like the artesian well. Deep, well grounded, refreshing, and constantly filled and overflowing. This in other words is true spirituality. The story of Mary & Martha tells us of the one thing that Mary chose, which was the main course, which will not be taken away from her. That story can be found in Luke's gospel chapter 10 verses 38-42. In our camp, we learnt that true spirituality is our fuel for the journey. Without true spirituality, we can never go far in our walk with God.'

Well, you may be saying in your heart, 'how on earth would you know how spiritual a person truly is?' Frankly speaking, i will never know, neither will you ever know, only God knows, who searches the deep things of man. He knows your thoughts, He examines and He tests. At the end of the day, it really is between us and the Lord isnt it? I would like to end this entry with this verse;

They will say of me, 'In the Lord alone are righteousness
and strength.'
Isaiah 45 v 24

May the Lord continue to work ever so lovingly and gently in the hearts of those who belong to Him, 'For the Lord knows those who belong to Him'.
